For decades, Anne has helped local governments, businesses and neighborhood organizations develop and implement programs that meet their community needs. Anne knows that neighborhoods are the backbone of the city. On the Common Council Anne will support neighborhoods by

  • Prioritizing input from neighborhood associations on public safety issues, zoning changes, new development, and city funding decisions. Requesting written letters of support from neighborhood associations on funding applications.
  • Developing a program to expedite the transfer of ownership of vacant lots to nearby homeowners and responsible developers. The city demolished at least 600 houses and now it needs to be sure that those lots do not just become eyesores.
  • Providing information updates from the city to neighborhood association presidents on issues such as code enforcement in their neighborhood, police calls, and regular city services like leaf collection and trash pic
